A stunning vintage late 1950's- early 1960's corset girdle! If you like the lightweight elastic feel of a girdle but wish you had some more waist reduction, then this is the garment for you!
Made in France from a navy blue brocade coutil with navy elastic panels, this corset girdle has four metal clipped stocking suspenders which can be unbuttoned. It fastens at the left side with a metal zipper and each bone casing inside is plush lined in navy plush (the front bones being removable). The back of the garment laces up at waist level, the lace up area being anchored by straps which hook around to the front to ensure a smooth fit.
The corset girdle is in excellent- mint condition, does not appear to have ever been worn.
A small- medium size. Waist measures 24" when fully closed but can stretch and be laced open to about 30". Hips measure 32" but can stretch to 42", Front length is 10", back length is 13 1/2". My waist is 30" and my hips are 38" and this fits me well but would also suit someone a bit smaller than me as well. I would not recommend it for a waist over 30" and hips over 38" though.
