Havana Taffeta Bustle Overskirt
C.1868-1870. A late 1860's overskirt which forshawdows the bustled skirt styles of the 1870's.
This short overskirt would have drawn attention to the back
of the skirt, creating a bustle effect and most likely would have been worn with a crinolette
. It's made from Havana colored silk taffeta, with silk fringe and silk velvet trim. It fastens at the front
. Waist approx. 26"- 28".
