Dolly Varden Style Parasol
Very early 1870's parasol covered in raw silk with a matching fabric flounce aorund the edge. Parasols of this period have a slightly thicker stick
than what was popular before and would get thicker in the 1880's. Has the orginal ribbon around the ferrule
and would have matched a very decorated 1870's bustle dress.
Most parasols by this time have metal ribs
