This lone heavy silk satin shoe dates to the early part of the 1890's. While left and right lasts were being used on most women's shoes by this time, this pair have a straight last as pre 1865 shoes have. The straight last remained into the early 20th century.
This shoe has a ruffled decoration on the vamp made out of the same material of the shoe. It probably had a jeweled decoration holding it on in place. Very small size, Approx a size US 4/ UK 2.
