These boots date from about 1904 to about 1908. They feature the newly fashionable Cuban
that began to compete with the traditional Louis heel. These boots are well worn and would have been worn as walking boots as they are plain.
The toe isn't so severely pointed and they have 2 1/2" heels. They still have their original label 'Made in the USA for H & C Blanchford Limited, Toronto, Canada'.
Whoever owned them, certainly wasn't rich. They had the soles repaired many times and have patches put on top of the foot where it bends from excessive wear. They measure 10 1/4" long, 3 1/4" wide and 9 1/2" high. A US ladies size 10/ UK size 8.
