C.1910. A beautiful young teenage girl's dress
. It just oozes feminity and I wish I could be 13 again so I could wear this!
It's cut in the flattering and highly desirable one piece Princess style. The bodice
has oodles of tiny pintucking and has bands of embroidery on the bust area and on the shoulders
. The sides and the back are pleated and tapered into the waist area. The neckline is high and rounded and is trimmed with lace. The back
fastens with linen covered buttons
and an old porcelain button. The bottom of the skirt is decorated with pintucking. Most of the dress is handsewn but does have a bit of machine stitching.
Measurements: Neck 12", Shoulders 14", Bust measures 38" but a bust of up to 36" would be ideal, Waist 31" but a waist of up to 28" would be ideal, Length: 43 1/2". This is the
that came with the dress although I'm not sure if it would have originally been worn with the dress. The waist measures 26" and is made out of the same fabric. The bow ends have lovely lace inserts but have some pulling in the seams where the lace is sewn into it. Bow ends measure 26" long, while the bow itself measures 22" wide.
