Blue alpaca day dress worn with a hen-ostrich feather boa with tassels and a reconstruction hat. The dress is made from a blue alpaca-cotton blend, with insertions of blue net with satin piping and embroidery. The sleeves
are tucked up and the front of the bodice is draped, the last vestige of the pouched bodice look of the 1900s. It has a high-necked white net bodice filler, which is tucked and has a bone in the back of the neck to hold it up. The
lace under sleeves are separate from the dress and would be removable and washable.
