C.1910-1915 oxford walking shoes. These would have been worn as everyday shoes and are made out of black kidskin built on a right
and left last. They have a 2 1/2" Cuban heel and measure 11" and 3" wide. They are a US ladies size 11/UK 9 narrow. They are really comfy and lace up the front.
I bought these in Montreal from a shoe shop that had been around since 1904 and was closing down. They were selling off all their old stock and even had stilettoes from the 1950's and platforms from the 1970's in the original boxes. They had another pair of these oxfords in size 10 US/UK 8 but I only had enough money for this pair. Here is the tag
You can really feel those stiff arches inside!
